Question: Did you even go? I went with friends that were even older than you and they had a blast. Its not how old and mature you think you are in your whopping 27 years of experience, its what you make of the situation. For one, you weren't even alive for the first woodstock to make an educated comparison. Second, non of us were suckered into it: we knew what to expect and prepared for it as best we can... Third for you to call 250,000+ people fools means that we all suffered from mass hysteria that God forbid we would all actually travel there in hopes of having a good time. As for not seeing bands of or era, if you think they were not the top bands of our era, then why did 250,000+ fans FLOCK to see them? If they weren't even good, then obviously no one would have gone to see them, eh? As for the partying, casual sex, and "boob watching" I for one did not even attend woodstock for that reason. Do not pass judgement on why each of us went. Or else you will pass judgement on whether or not we even had a good time. Until you try not to judge on a non-educated experience, keep your opinions to yourself, DO NOT judge an event you probably didn't even see, and read what other people are writing. If we were suckered into it, all we would be bitching about was how ripped off we were, and not at what a good time we had. THINK ABOUT IT. I'm up for a conversation... (unless you just put up a post to speak your mind, and not defend it)
