What You Need To Know About Security
Ticket holders will enter through 200 chutes at admission gates. Supposedly people will be asked
to open all their parcels and they will be scanned with metal detectors. If they dont cooperate
they won't be admitted.
Once inside the four miles of double security fencing around the site (this is the woodstock wall
that is being built) they will be watched by 1,500 state certified security guards and nearly as
many guides, admission people and members of the Family of Woodstock support organization.
There will be response teams of security guards if an unusual need should arise. There are three
ways to deal with such situations, "You will be warned, ejected, or hold them for state police
arrest."
Hundreds of state police will be imported from around the state to help out.
There will be no pedestrian walk-ons onto the site. Anyone who parks outside the site in one of
nine outside lots must take a shuttle bus from the lots or from one of three sites in Rome on East
Dominick Street, Floyd Avenue, or Black River Boulevard, which are all very close to the site. It
was said "that when people start walking it stops traffic and promotes illegal parking".
