To all of the people who get a kick out of writing off Woodstock as a disgrace(ie. media)I feel bad for you. 1. You're putting a negative spin on what was such a great show for people who actually attended the show when most of you did not attend 2. The whole show defined the lifestyle and musical tastes of our generation(except the sexual assaults). Sure, on the surface it looked overpriced but from actually being there, I think of it as a great deal, a life experience if you will. I attended Woodstock with 13 of my closest friends and everyone of them would say the same thing. After I saw the list of bands, I knew that I couldn't pass it up. I went for the anticipated craziness and the opportunity to go off for a few days. Anyone who wanted the experience of a chilled out scene just could've looked over the lineup and realized what it was all about. Really, does anyone expect Limp Bizkit to create a love-in. The whole energy, youth and ultimately destruction turned Woodstock into somewhat of a life experience for me. I will never forget the scene, leaving after the Chili's and seeing the mayhem. It's not something that should happen everyday, but if it ever should, Rome NY was the place for it to happen on that weekend in late July. Woodstock 99 defined our generation in many ways and made for one hell of a Rock & Roll Show!!! Hope to see you in 2004...
