Evidently you want to dwell on the bad things that
happened at Woodstock. These people who went probably didn't see any rapes. As a matter of fact, they had one of the most memorable experiences of their lifetime.

You need to consider the fact that rapes occur everyday in Cities across the USA. I bet there were rapes in your home town. I also bet that a rape was committed and you were not aware of this at the time. It might have been on a day when you were having a family picnic. When you look back at that family picnic do you think of the rape that occurred in your town?

All I am saying is don't criticize the people who had a picnic.

Don't try to peg this crime on Woodstock either. Rapes occur at regular concerts too.

In numbers everything gets out of hand. Have you ever been in Indianapolis for the Indianapolis 500? Instead of 250,000 people there are 500,000 people plus. There are all sorts of crimes committed and the media fails to mention these things because the media is not there for the whole week. The media is only there for qualifying, warm-ups, and the race itself.

I will have to agree that rape is a devastating show of violence and hate and a very horrible crime. It seems that all the media is making Woodstock 99 out to be some horrible event and you have bought into the media's pull.

I believe this piece of the media was organized to cover the event from a more personal angle. I think these four people did a really good job and need to be congratulated.

Yesterday I looked elsewhere throughout this site and found more media coverage on the rapes.

In response to your question, the rapes have been
mentioned. They were mentioned by you...

: How could this "Woodstock 99" page not even mention the half dozen or more women that were gang-rapes in the mosh pit? Or the ones pulled into tents and raped there, their screams for help unheard? This is such a devastating show of violence and hate - how can you ignore this when discussing this event?
