I really don't have an opinion on the continuation of Woodstock. I think like everything else, about six or seven years ago the producers saw a chance to cash in on the Woodstock name and did it.

As far as your assertion that the sixties were a time of innocence, I think your nostalgia is clouding your judgement. Let's remember the sixties:

1) JFK assasinated
2) Martin Luther King assasinated
3) Robert Kennedy assasinated
4) The KKK firebombing churches in Birmingham and
Mississippi
5) The KKK lynching and terrorizing numerous
blacks throughout the south
6) Vietnam
7) Racial riots in nearly all major cities
8) The Chicago democratic convention of 68'
9) The Black Panthers
10) The anti-integration riots in almost every
southern state
11) George Wallace blocking access to a black
student on the steps of The University of
Alabama
12) And who can forget in the first months of 1970
the Kent State shootings

The list could go on and on, but that hardly sounds innocent to me.
