I live in Rome,NY and we all wonder why the fires:
Main conclusion is heat, high prices for food and if the kids all knew it was so simple to take a shuttle out of the park into the city to eat, it would have saved alot of aggrevation for all. Most of the people who live here welcome back another Woodstock, but hope to have more plans on removing garbage and cleaning the portapotties, which were not done when they were suppose to. I know I watched some clean up crew walk off at 3 in the morning when I was working the midnight shift on Friday,(in the tent that was burned and where the tractor trailers were)No Woodstock will ever recapture the Woodstock of 69, that festival was truely a festival of music,love,and peace I know I was there. Music and words have alot to do with emotions,which would you rather make love to Red Hot Chili Peppers or something soothing like an oldie where words had alot of soul put in to them. '69 was a year to remember and that will never be captured again. We hope everyone had a great time, and if you come to Rome again, remember to go into the city to eat, alot of us opened their homes to free showers and baths and food and we shuttled kids back and forth.
