it pisses me off that the media took woodstock and destroyed the entire idea of the show. there MIGHT have been riots, but i, for one, did not see the rage and violence that the media claims occurred. to me, the fires were a little extravagent, people on drugs or people a little too involved with the pax peace ceremony. but woodstock was the only place i've ever been to where everyone seemed to get along and give eachother their own space.. you'll never see that many people together that are actually getting along and enjoying themselves.. everyone respected the differences that surrounded them there.... every kind of person was there. so don't bash woodstock--- our generation is TOTALLY different from the one in '69, and the world (including the media) is more violent, so what the hell did they expect?? in my eyes, it couldn't have been any more successful
