I believe the official definition of a RAVE is an
unofficial moving party, mostly a teen thing. But word
gets spread through groups where the rave is and they
keep the party moving to avoid police, but a wild party
is somewhat of a definition of it if it wasn't moving
like at woodstock. Ectasy is a common theme for raves,
I think it was borne at raves mostly. There were Raves
all the time in Orlando. So much so that many magazines
for teens are now called RAVE.
Think it was born cause these kids couldn't get into clubs...or drink
